Devastating.

Is this really happening?

You didn’t know...you couldn’t have known.

There are no words to calm the hurt and pain of betrayal that cuts deep to the very core of who you are

Sleep brings little relief, often only more pain.  You’re exhausted—mentally, spiritually, emotionally, & physically. You may cry so much that sometimes it feels like you can’t stop, or maybe you’re numb and in a fog not able to function in daily tasks.  You thought you knew your life, the good and bad, but now you don’t know what it was, what it is, or what it will be because all you see are broken dreams, broken promises & a broken future.

You are not crazy.  It is not your fault.  And you are not alone.

There IS hope and you CAN experience relief in areas that you thought were impossible.

Feeling emotionally safe and stable is usually my first goal in working with you.

I do NOT use a blaming or shaming model. I DO use a combination of trauma models including the Multidimensional Partner Trauma Model from APSATS.

You may have trouble remembering things like basic everyday words or what you were going to do just two seconds ago.  Your brain is processing what you just learned, trying to make sense of something there’s no good answer for.  There’s a reason you are thinking and feeling the way you are; you’ve experienced a relational betrayal trauma. Relational betrayal trauma can be from infidelity, a secret addiction (sex, drugs, alcohol, gambling, shopping), criminal behaviors (violence, abuse), and other relational trust violations.

You can be able to live in the moment and plan for the future again or for the first time in a long time! You are capable of writing the rest of your story and not feeling the shame you currently experience. I also help you know how to handle its impact on your entire family and how to interact with others like friends and co-workers.

Together we'll navigate to your healing.
