Custom trauma therapy intensives
For those that need more than weekly therapy sessions to process past trauma and distress.
Is committing to a weekly therapy appointment keeping you from getting the help you want because your schedule is already full and you still need to eat and sleep?
Or do you find yourself in urgent need of substantial support at this very moment, and spending months in weekly therapy is too long?
IF ANY OF THESE ARE TRUE FOR YOU...
Then intensives may be what you need. Intensives bypass regular waitlists compressing months or even years of progress into a shorter time frame, offering relief quicker and the opportunity to decrease the distress.
Intensives help accelerate the process of therapy, so you can feel better more quickly.
What is a Custom Trauma Therapy Intensive?
An intensive is a type of therapy in which, instead of the typical 45-minute weekly therapy sessions, a client spends several hours in one day doing deeper intense work to process past traumas.
This type of therapy is often used for people who have experienced severe trauma/distress or who have not responded well to traditional forms of therapy and need more than what weekly therapy can provide.
Intensives provide personalized treatment plans designed to support your preferred schedule and timeline for your treatment goals.
Intensives are not just for trauma; they are also used for anxiety, depression, and other situations that cause distress or bother a person as well as performance enhancement to excel in areas such as athletics, business, and even relationships.

Our intensives include years of training that is of the highest quality and research backed to provide remarkable results. Although our time together may be short term, we prioritize understanding you as an individual, ensuring that your sessions are what you need.
Before embarking on your intensive journey, you'll undergo a comprehensive series of screeners and/or assessments, helping us pinpoint the perfect format to cater to your requirements. Also included is a personalized workbook to help plan your intensive. You may be asked to complete certain exercises prior to the intensive to help you prepare and maximize the benefit of the treatment as well as post Intensive exercises to support your continued progress.
These assessments provide valuable insights that would typically require numerous therapy sessions to uncover, enabling us to hit the ground running and work toward your goals. We invest significant effort in preparing you for these sessions and collaboratively define clear objectives to ensure your intensive counseling experience is maximally beneficial.

Canvas Counseling and Wellness PLLC is not in-network with insurance, so your investment in therapy will be an out-of-pocket payment. At your request, we can provide a special receipt called a Superbill which includes important information about the service provided. You can then submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement but there are no guarantees.
Prior to starting sessions, we recommend you talk with your insurance to find out if they reimburse/cover out-of-network services and what service/CPT codes they cover.
